Motivation: The Architecture of Perseverance
After releasing Inner Conversation, I felt a surge of momentum. I was training daily at the gym at the time, and I began to find a rhythm between the physical discipline of lifting weights and the creative discipline of the DAW.
Motivation was born at this crossroads. I was pulled toward electronic textures and a voice inside me that wanted to speak about goals, resilience, and the grit required to reach them.
The Internal Gym
I imagined myself standing at the cusp of an accomplishment—the finish line in sight, but with a labyrinth of challenges still lurking ahead.
The process was an intricate dance. I wanted to move away from my traditional training and explore something that felt more modern and electronic, yet still deeply personal. Every layer of harmony was meticulously chosen to narrate a story of resilience. It wasn’t just about melody; it was about distilling an emotion that could ignite a visceral drive in whoever heard it.
A Mirror for the Soul
Often, when I write, I’m not sure if I am trying to motivate the listener or if I am simply using the music to motivate myself to be better. Music is my tool for expressing what words cannot say.
Some might call these reflections a “word salad,” but to be honest, I don’t care. Writing music and sharing these emotions is therapeutic. If you relate to these feelings, then I am happy to be your company on your own journey.
The Truth About the “Pinnacle”
We all need motivation because seeing others achieve “overnight success” can make us want to scream. But the reality is that we all have our own journey. If you aren’t where you want to be yet, there is a reason, and only time holds the answer. Hard work pays back—perhaps not immediately, but it always does.
Keep your dreams in sight and search for them relentlessly.
Until the next entry.
